The following is information about how to apply for a particular program and the things you should bring with you.

Applying for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Benefits

Here are the things you need to do:
1. You may apply in person at any HRA Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) office that is convenient for you. You can use ACCESSNYC to search for the locations of SNAP offices throughout New York City.
2. A paper SNAP application can be submitted by mail, fax or in person. You can view and print the SNAP application form in ACCESS NYC.
3. You can complete an online SNAP application in ACCESSNYC.
4. If you are applying for cash assistance you may apply for SNAP Benefits at the same time at an HRA Job Center. In ACCESS NYC you can search for the job center designated to serve your zip code area.
5. When you go to your application interview appointment bring documents that prove your identity, where you live, how many people are in your family and their ages, any proof of income or financial resources and current utility bills and documents that verify your expenses. ACCESS NYC provides a list of required documents that you should try to have prior to your interview. If you need help acquiring documentation your worker will help you at your application interview if possible.
