The following is information about how to apply for a particular program and the things you should bring with you.

Applying for Head Start

Here are the things you need to do:
1. You should apply at the Head Start program closest to your home.
2. Head Start Programs are located throughout the city. In ACCESS NYC, you can search for Head Start sites. You will need to schedule your appointment with the program(s) you have chosen. You may place your family's name on the waiting list of more than one program.
3. You will need to bring your child's birth certificate, immunization record, proof of your family's residence and proof of your family's income. In ACCESS NYC, you can search for the full list of required documents.
